bush Knows How to Pick 'em

Well, at least he has experience at something! ;)

All the recent Bush/GOP infedelism, backslapping, palm greasing, and covering up for cohorts has me wondering about the 50% or so of the people who voted these "leaders" into our midst. What must they be thinking about now? Are they sorry? Ashamed? Mad? Or do they just not believe any of the goings on are really that bad.

The recent report that our efforts in Iraq have spawned more terrorists brought this from bushbaby.
"You do not create terrorism by fighting terrorism," President bush told a receptive military audience at the Reserve Officers Association in Washington, DC, on Friday.

He just can't believe you can make a thing worse by meddling in it. In all his time "down on the farm" he must never have messed with a hornets nest, or a fire-ant bed. The results are the same. Not that terrorists don't need to be dealt with - Afghanistan was a decent attempt - but our grand repugnant "leaders" took their Amerikan bravado too far.

See the results?

And what about electing a child-molestor to the Senate? Does he still get that salary-for-life bit? I'd vote against it.

Well, you got a picture of Bush with his finger in his nose (clever). Not long ago we saw pictures of Clinton pointing his finger in Chris Wallace's face - he insists he "tried" to kill Bin Laden, but couldn't do it. (what did he want, sympathy?) Now you say "Afghanistan was a decent attempt" to deal with terrorism. Just what, pray tell, do think was accomplished by that so-called decent attempt? As for the hornet's nest analogy, if your children were being stung by the hornets, wouldn't it make sense to destroy the nest (instead of not messing with it)?

Now, unfortunately, Iraq has turned into a messed up situation. So we see all the politicians trying to distance themselves from it, and by association from Bush. Back in 2003 most of them saw things differently. The democrats now make the excuse President Bush cooked up all this false intelligence to deceive the nation. (why? because he was eager to have a war!) I recall Saddam took his army into Kuwait in 1993. I recall this same defiant dictator playing games with U.N. weapons inspectors and not complying with the U.N. resolutions. He made a mockery of them. I would even say he wanted his enemies, who were many, to think he possessed nuclear and chemical weapons.

If you want to call yourself an observer, you ought to give the whole picture. You should have one of Saddam thumbing his nose at the world.
