Mayors Gather in Alaska to Talk Warming

As bush continues trying to breathe with his head buried either in the sand or up the ass of his money-boy "backers" (who is backing whom?), mayors from all over the states meet to try to deal with the realities being otherwise ignored by the administration.
"We need to find the leadership in this country," said Mayor Rocky Anderson of Salt Lake City at a conference on climate change. "If it's not going to come from the top down. ... We need to push from the bottom up."

So, we are becoming a diy nation, where no help - not even a recognition of reality - can be expected from Washington D.C.

Those comrades are too busy killing and torturing people who don't believe as they believe.

But at least someone is finally taking the situation seriously.
Anderson said that there is no longer a dispute over warming and that it's due to the burning of fossil fuels, which add greenhouse gases to the atmosphere and trap heat.

The only uncertainties are how fast the globe is warming and where the effects will show up, he said.

Now, if bush would just take the bull by the tail and face the situation, we could start making things better instead of worse.

Next stop: Economy?
